How can I tell what year my Rolex was made?
The Rolex serial numbers are found between the lugs on the side of the case at the 6 oclock side, behind the bracelet. This 4-8 digit number is engraved by Rolex on every watch and it can be used to determine its production date.
Do Rolex watches have numbers on the back?
Rolex model or reference numbers are listed on the certificates Rolex issues, but its also available on the watch case itself. You will have to remove the bracelet to find it. The reference/model number is engraved between the lugs on the 12 oclock side where the bracelet meets the watch case as pictured below.
