Can I travel to Bhutan alone?
Independent travel to Bhutan is opening up but its not something the government encourages. Generally, visitors to Bhutan must either be tourists, or guests of the government. The only other options for visiting the country are to receive an invitation by a citizen of some standing or a volunteer organization.

Yes, Bhutan is an expensive travel destination and considerably more expensive than some of the other destinations we offer but if you can stretch to it, the extra cost is well worth the reward of relatively exclusive access to one of the worlds most beautiful destinations.
