New Delhi: According to a research conducted by Indias first extramarital dating app Gleeden, around 55% of married Indians have extramarital affairs. Among the cheaters, nearly 56% are women who have been unfaithful to their spouses.
A 2020 survey by Gleeden found nearly 55 percent of the married people in India who responded to the survey accepted to having cheated on their partner. 56 percent of them were women.
The two researchers found that about 21 percent of men and 13 percent of women reported infidelity at some point in their lifetime and that this gender difference has been consistent from 2000 to 2016. Labrecque adds that men are more likely than women to hold more favorable attitudes about extramarital sex.
