There is no specific time frame for dating after the loss of a spouse. We all grieve differently and must respect our own process. Some will decide never to be in another relationship.

When does a widow become single?

After the two-year period has ended, you may no longer file as Qualifying Widow or Widower. If you remarry at this point, you can then file as Married Filing Jointly or as Married Filing Separately. If you do not remarry in the third year after your spouses death, you are considered single.
