Is dating at a young age a bad idea?
Getting into relationships and dating at a young age has a negative impact and adverse effects on young children and teenagers. Dating during the high school years has many disadvantages including poor academic performance, social disobedience and increased levels of delinquency, depression, pregnancy, and drug use.
What is the normal age to start dating?
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, kids start dating at an average age of 12 and a half for girls and 13 and a half for boys. Every teen — or preteen — is different, though, and your child might be ready sooner or later than their peers.
