Question: What is the difference between freshwater and city water on an RV?

Fresh water is used to fill up the water holding tank when you are going somewhere that doesnt provide water. You will need to use the internal pump in the rv to pump the water through the trailer. The fresh water connection goes directly to the fresh water tank. The city water goes right to the camper.

Can I leave my RV fresh water tank empty?

When water sits unused in a tank, it can become unsafe and therefore undrinkable. If you use all your fresh water and refill your tanks every week or two, there shouldnt be issues as long as you keep a clean tank. But, when water sits unused in a tank, it can become undrinkable.

Can you drink water from RV?

So, is your RV water actually safe to drink? The good news is that, as long as the tank and system are properly cleaned and treated, tap water in the RV is perfectly safe to drink.
